Email created by artificial intelligence

However, according to the initiative, this information was no secret, but came from a routine email communication that was sent out in early January to around 120 recipients. "In no way was the email secret," the initiative said on Facebook, where it also posted the full text of the email.

According to its statement, the text was generated for it by the ChatGPT tool, drawing on sources on non-violent protest movements.

At the same time, the initiative rejected any accusations of trying to destabilise the country and stressed that it was organising peaceful and non-violent rallies.

"We have nothing to hide. Protests are a legitimate instrument of dissent in a democratic country. We are organising peaceful, non-violent rallies, which are a manifestation of the fundamental democratic right of citizens to express their disagreement with the actions of the government," said the representatives of the initiative.

Statement by the head of SIS

On Tuesday (21 January) evening, SIS chief Pavol Gašpar also commented on the report, "Just a short reaction to the media outputs of the opposition and NGOs: please do not underestimate the abilities, expertise and professionalism of SIS officers."

Maidan preparation

After the failed extraordinary session in the parliament, the daily SME reported that the secret SIS report is based on open sources and one email from the civil sector. It was supposed to concern planned public protests against the government.

Prime Minister Robert Fico described the information as evidence of preparations for a "Maidan" in Parliament on Tuesday. However, the opposition and the civic sector reject these claims, saying that this is standard civic activism in a democratic society.
