The Danube is growing at great speed. Under normal circumstances, the Danube's level reaches about three metres. The situation began to change on Friday and Saturday, when the level rose by two metres.
On Saturday, the Danube was already in the first level of flood activity, the level reached over six metres. On Sunday, the situation was even more critical and we reached the second level of flood activity. The level was over seven metres.
On Monday, the Danube is over nine metres and the level is rising steadily. According to the SHMÚ model forecast, the Danube should start to slowly decrease only on Tuesday evening.
