SANEP poll for ta3: Smer triumphs, two parliamentary parties out of the game, Republic surprises
If parliamentary elections were held in August, Smer would win again. Progresive Slovakia would come second. This was confirmed by an exclusive survey conducted by the SANEP agency for ta3.
Surprising results
MPs from six political entities would sit in parliament. More than 25 percent of voters would give their vote to the strongest coalition party. The Progressives follow with a margin of more than three percent. The top three are rounded out by the Hlas with almost 14 percent.
The parties KDH, Republika and SaS would also make it into parliament. Conversely, the Alliance, SNS and the Democrats would remain at the gates of parliament.
The coalition of Slovakia, Kresťanská únia and Za ľudí would also not make it into parliament, as it would not get the necessary seven per cent support. Members of the Sme rodina party would also not have been seated on the benches in the first half of August.
The survey was conducted from 12 to 18 August 2024 on a sample of 1 850 respondents.
Parliamentary seats
In terms of seats in parliament, the Smer-SD party would win 47 mandates, the Progressive Slovakia party would win 41 mandates and the Hlas-SD party would win 25 mandates, according to a recent SANEP poll for ta3.
The KDH would have 13 deputies in the National Council, as would the Republic. The SaS party would have 11 deputies in the plenary.
